Epworth Project is a non-profit disaster rebuilding agency located in Slidell, LA. They take volunteers year-around. The Greater New Orleans area is still recovering from Hurricane Katrina and now Hurricane Isaac. Epworth Project began as a part of UMCOR. The Montgomery Area Gleaning Network has an ongoing need for volunteers to pick up produce from various farmers' markets in the Montgomery Area and deliver to local ministries. Volunteers pick up produce that would otherwise be thrown away and deliver it to feeding ministries within the community.
