New Ministry Strategies

The Alabama-West Florida Conference has created a new ministry strategy team that will lead our conference in planting new faith communities, as well as coaching our existing churches to reach new people in new ways. Click here to read release

To facilitate this work each new ministry cultivator has been assigned specific areas to initiate conversations and new ministries where there is a gap or a United Methodist desert.

Additionally, each cultivator has been assigned a district superintendent to assist in facilitating new ministry and to help develop fresh ideas in our existing churches. While the team is developing avenues for reaching out to the cultivators, please feel free to contact your DS if you have questions or wish to be a part of helping to start these new communities of faith. They will then connect you to the cultivator for your area.

The cultivators are assigned as follows:
Rev. Dan Baughman to Rev. Jean Tippit
Rev. Brennan Peacock to Dr. Jeff Wilson
Jennifer Precht to Dr. Debora Bishop
Rev. Mike von Keyserling to Dr. Mike Pearson
Jennifer Lusher will resource the team as needed and help all areas.
