AWFC Spiritual Directors are bound by the Guidelines for Ethical Conduct developed and published by Spiritual Directors International.

We are educated for this ministry: Anyone listed on the AWFC web page have graduated from a training program and are certified. They are also required to maintain the following to remain listed on this web page for referrals.
An annual report filled out every year showing that they:
1. are in peer supervision
2. are in spiritual direction
3. have attended a continuing education retreat
4. have attended a silent retreat
