The Rev. Don Brill served our Lord and our Annual Conference faithfully until his untimely death on July 25, 1997. He took seriously the Master’s mandate for mission: "Go ye into all the world..." As an enabler and encourager, Don fostered an environment where mission could happen, through our Annual Conference and its local churches.
For nine years Don served our Conference as Secretary for Global Ministries and devoted his life to ministry and mission. In honor of Don, and in appreciation of his devotion, the Annual Conference has established the Don Brill Volunteers in Mission Scholarship Fund.
The purpose of this scholarship is to provide help for those persons who have the desire and skills to be a supportive member of an UMVIM team. Whether the skill is medical, educational, construction, or Bible study, the Scholarship is intended to offer an opportunity for persons who may not have the monetary means to go on their own and be in service on a mission field.
