Rev. James W. Sasser, Jr. "Jim", age 65, resident of Montgomery, Alabama went home to be with his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on Tuesday, June 28, 2016. Visitation will be held at Leak Memory Chapel on Thursday, June 30, 2016 from 5:00-7:00PM and Friday, July 1, 2016 from 9:30-10:30AM. A Celebration of Life Service will be held on Friday, July 1, 2016 at 10:30AM at Leak Memory Chapel with burial following in Greenwood Cemetery.
Rev. Dr. Neil Epler and Rev. Doug Fannin will be officiating. He was a Vietnam Veteran that proudly served his country. Jim worked for CSX railroad for over 30 years and retired as assistant Regional Bridge Engineer. He recently retired after serving 13 years as a UMC Local Pastor.
Jim is survived by his loving wife, Terri; his mother, Mary Sasser; his sister, Mary Kirkland; brother, John Sasser; daughter, Kathy Sasser; son, Joseph Sasser (Laura); son, Jamey Sasser; grandchildren, Hayden, Dylan, Katelynn, and James III. Jim was predeceased by his father, James W. Sasser, Sr.
