ROSS Reverend Robert Glanders Ross, age 73, born in Wilcox County, Alabama and current resident of Fairhope, Alabama, passed away Saturday, May 8, 2010. Rev. Ross served as a minister in the Alabama West Florida Conference of the United Methodist Church for 47 years. The last 22 years of his ministry was serving in Baldwin County: BayMinette, Summerdale/ Marlow, and Lottie.
After retiring, he became a member of the Fairhope United Methodist Church. Bob, as he was affectionately called, was a member of the Masonic Lodge and the Shriners organizations.
He spent many years working for the advancement of the ARC in Alabama. He served as president of the ARC at the state and local levels.
He is survived by his wife of 49 years, Mary Ann Ross; children, Phillip Ross and Alicia Stafford (Kevin); grandchildren, Karlie and Ross Stafford; sister, Linda Ross Brannan; nieces, nephews, and friends.
Memorial services will be held from the Fairhope United Methodist Church, Thursday, May 13, 2010, at 2:00 pm. The family will receive friends at the church following the services.
