UMVIM, SEJ Welcome Rev. Alan Gantzhorn as Board Secretary
(UMVIM) – The Staff and Board of UMVIM, SEJ wish to welcome Rev. Alan Gantzhorn of the AlabamaWest Florida Conference as the new Board Secretary. Rev. Gantzhorn’s role as secretary was made official at the October, 2015 UMVIM, SEJ Board of Directors meeting, and his duties began immediately.
About Alan Gantzhorn
Rev. Gantzhorn is currently the senior pastor at First UMC, Jackson, Alabama, and he also the UMVIM Coordinator for the AlabamaWest Florida Conference. Though born in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, he grew up in Fort Walton Beach, Florida and considers himself a panhandle native. In 1989, Alan graduated magna cum laude from the Mercer University’s Walter F. George School of Law and spent his pre-ministry career practicing law for the State of Georgia. He later earned his Masters of Divinity from the Candler School of Theology at Emory University, and has since served at First UMC Pensacola, Aldersgate UMC, and Cottage Hill UMC.
