Dear Lay and Clergy Members of the Annual Conference,
As a reminder, the upcoming called Annual Conference session will be held on Saturday, November 12, 2022. The purpose of the special session is to vote on matters related to local church disaffiliations within the Alabama-West Florida Annual Conference.
All information pertaining to churches planning to disaffiliate at the November 12th called session of Annual Conference may be found on the conference website (https://www.awfumc.org/november-2022-local-church-disaffiliations). All voting members are strongly encouraged to review this information prior to the session. If you have questions specifically related to the disaffiliation process, please contact your district superintendent.
The meeting will begin at 10:00 am and will be held via Zoom. It is anticipated that the meeting will last no longer than one hour. By The Book of Discipline, the called conference session may consider only matters pertaining to this call; no other business can be considered. Voting will take place by Zoom Poll.
Who Votes
Elected lay members last seated at the June 2022 session of annual conference will serve as the voting lay members for the called session (¶602.5). Clergy membership of the annual conference is defined in ¶32 of The Book of Discipline.

You will be manually approved upon verification of voting credentials through our database and attendance records. Your unique webinar link will be sent after verification. All voting will be done through the zoom polling option. No addition voting credentials will be necessary for this special session. Registration closes on November 4. This is a firm deadline.
