Praise be to the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of compassion and the God of all comfort, who comforts us in all our troubles, so that we can comfort those in any trouble with the comfort we ourselves receive from God. -2 Corinthians 1:3-4

The Alabama-West Florida Conference of the United Methodist Church is immediately responding to the weekend tornado outbreak that left a deadly trail in six states. We also need your help to show our connectional love and support.

The conference is sending $50,000 of disaster response funds to the Tennessee-Western Kentucky Conference, led by Bishop Bill McAlilly, to use in the immediate response.

We have shown in previous similar disaster response situations that our conference has a desire to walk alongside those in need. We invite you to give a monetary donation to our conference. 100% of the donations will be sent to the Tennessee-Kentucky Conference. Click here to give

You may also give to the United Methodist Committee on Relief (UMCOR) through this link. UMCOR will be on the ground and will be assisting areas that were devastated.

At this time, supplies and ERT teams are not yet needed. Money will allow our brothers and sisters to provide relief in areas that were damaged in the coming days and weeks. We will continue to communicate needs as we hear of them.

Finally, please keep those who experienced loss or trauma from the storms in your prayers. Suffering after a storm is unimaginable, especially during Advent and Christmas.

We are grateful for your support during this time.
