Saturday, December 6, from 9:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m., and again on Sunday morning, Aldersgate is hosting Red Bird Mission Crafts to give our church an opportunity to support the ongoing work of the Mission. Red Bird Mission, in the Kentucky mountains, is a part of the Red Bird Missionary Conference. Red Bird Mission includes a school, medical center, community outreach program, community housing improvement and economic opportunities. By providing a market for local artisans, the craft program is a vital part of economic development.

They have many crafts made within an 80-mile radius of the mission. There will be beautiful baskets, woven rugs, decorative items and handmade dolls. Other items include beeswax candles, jewelry, note cards, history books of the area, recipe books, woven place mats and handmade brooms. An assortment of wooden crafts, Christmas ornaments and nativity sets add to the colorful display.

With Christmas just around the corner, this is a wonderful opportunity to find gift items not readily available elsewhere in our community. Come give your support to this wonderful mission ministry!
