The Montgomery-Prattville District will host Lay Servant Ministry Training August 1 - 2, 2014 at Dalraida United Methodist Church.
Courses Offered:
1. Basic Course led by Pat Caylor (requires permission from senior minister of your church)
2. Advanced Course: Life Together in the United Methodist Connection (new Polity course) led by Dr. Robbins Sims
3. Advanced Course: Dancing with Words: Lay Speakers Tell Stories led by Rev. Jackie Slaughter
4. Advanced Course: From Your Heart to Theirs: Delivering an Effective Sermon led by Dr. Chris Perry

Friday, August 1
Registration: 4:45 p.m. – 5:30 p.m., light meal included
Orientation and Worship: 5:30 p.m. – 6:00 p.m.
Classes: 6:00 p.m. – 9:00 p.m., snacks provided
Saturday, August 2
Breakfast: 7:30 a.m. – 8:30 a.m.
Classes: 8:30 a.m. – 11:30 a.m., snacks provided
Lunch: 11:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.
Classes: 12:30 p.m. to 4:30 p.m., snacks provided
Break: 4:30 p.m. to 4:45 p.m.
Consecration and Sending Forth – 4:45 p.m.
