Midnight Oil’s Creative Worship seminar is designed to equip you with ideas and practices that will take worship to the next level. Best experienced by a team, this one day seminar will help you create creative worship on a weekly basis that drives worshipers toward faith development and mission in the world.

Creative Worship will be held Saturday, May 17, 2014 at Good News United Methodist Church.  The event will begin at 8am and last until 4:30pm.  

The presenter will be an award winning digital artist, Jason Moore.  Jason continues to establish new styles for visual imagery in worship that he hopes will help the church reach the culture we live in. Known for his pioneering work in digital images for worship, he has devoted the last fourteen years to developing professional, highly emotive graphics, animation and video that are being emulated in churches throughout the country.

If you’ve ever seen an excruciating media presentation in worship then you know that for many churches new media has nothing to do with new energy and creativity in worship. Many churches have jumped on the digi-bandwagon, but have quickly discovered that doing so does not necessarily create instant congregational renewal. That’s because there’s a big difference between technology and culture. While the technology is in place, many of us are still operating out of old, text-based mindsets when the world around us, and even our own congregations, has learned to live and think in image.  More....
