We are about to experience one of the most exciting events in the history of Aldersgate United Methodist Church.  Over the span of three days, we will host missionaries who serve in such faraway places as Jamaica, Columbia, Zambia, Japan and Ecuador as well as those who serve within our country. We’ll hear from people whose lives are dedicated to the cause of reaching lost people at home and around the world. In big worship events and intimate conversations, we’ll learn how to go beyond a casual interest in missions to making an impact on a LIFE, a COMMUNITY, a WORLD.

 

The Global Impact Celebration February 28 - March 2, 2014 is not just another meeting or event. This is a celebration of missions designed to expose every person at Aldersgate to God’s heart for the world.

 

Through small group settings, panel discussions, printed information, informal conversations and exciting worship events, God will open our spiritual eyes and show us how He is using ordinary people for extraordinary missions at home and abroad. The missionaries who join us for these three days come to proclaim the mighty works of God in the world. They are here to encourage us even as we encourage them in their work.

 

We’ll worship and celebrate the move of the Holy Spirit in other cultures. We’ll pray for those who have not yet heard the name of Jesus, and we’ll discern God’s call on our church and on every heart. We’ll pray to be set on fire for the great adventure of joining God in His work.
