Rev. Ronald O. McCants
This course is a companion to Religion 151A Survey of the Old Testament. Whatever their religious backgrounds, scholars are in agreement that one cannot be fully educated until he or she has a basic working knowledge of the Bibleits contents, its history, and the culture in which it was written. This course is designed to give you just that. It is a secular look at a book which is considered holy by a great many people, and is respected as an icon of western culture among educated peoples of all religious (or non-religious) backgrounds.
Upon successful completion of this course the student will earn 3 semester hours.
Classes begin August 21, 2012 and end December 11, 2012.
