Perry Hill United Methodist Church will host a Maundy Thursday Service on Thursday, April, 5, 2012 beginning at 6:30 p.m.  We will gather in the sanctuary to remember Jesus' last night with his disciples before his arrest.  We will begin by reading the story of his last night with the disciples, worship through foot washing (or hand washing for those unable to do foot washing), remember how he celebrated communion with them by taking communion ourselves, and finally, by stripping the altar and shrouding the cross in black for Good Friday.

Come and join us as we remember these important events in our Lord's life and in the life of Christ's church.

***A note for those unfamiliar with "Maundy Thursday," "Maundy" comes from the Latin word that means "commandment" - we will remember Christ's commandment to the Church: "to love one another as I have loved you" (John 15:12).
