The Dothan District Gathering (formerly the Laity Banquet & Rally) will be held September 24, 2012 at First United Methodist Church in Ozark.  Dr. Steve Furr, Alabama-West Florida Conference Lay Leader will present "It’s Not about My Weight" and Rev. Jeremy Mount, Discipleship Pastor, Perdido Bay UMC, will present "Body and Soul-Shepherd Watch: Keeping the Pastor and Flock Healthy in a Sick Culture".

The goal of the gathering is to bring the pastors and laity together to build closer relationships within our district as we grow spiritually and to keep one another informed of conference and district initiatives, goals and programs.

A meal will be served at 6:00 p.m. for $6 and can be paid at the door.  The main program will begin at 6:45 p.m.  Reservations for the meal should be made by calling Heather Cohen at 334-774-2569.

Everyone (clergy and lay) are encouraged to attend.
