The Florida Chapter of the Fellowship of United Methodists in Music and Worship Arts is pleased to announce that our 57th Annual Church Music Workshop will be held from Sunday afternoon, June 16 through Friday noontime, June 21, 2013, at the Life Enrichment Retreat Center in Fruitland Park (Leesburg). Anyone involved in church music or worship planning, both traditional and contemporary, adults or youth, are invited to join us.

Aldersgate United Methodist Church (Montgomery) will host an AARP Driving Course on Saturday, June 22, 2013 beginning at 9am. The course will be held in room 22.
Cost is $12 for AARP members and $14 for non-AARP members. This course is open to the public.

The third Sunday following the adjournment of Annual Conference shall be the last Sunday of pastoral responsibility for each conference year. The official moving day will be Tuesday, June 25, 2013 and may be adjusted according to the needs and concerns worked out in consultation with the clergy persons, the churches and approved by the District Superintendent.

International Leadership Institute (ILI) Regional Conference will be held June 27-29, 2013 at St. James United Methodist Church.
The International Leadership Institute accelerates the spread of the Gospel around the world by training and mobilizing leaders of leaders to reach their nations with the Gospel of Jesus Christ. The training introduces eight core values (see below) foundational for effective leadership.

This 5 day conference designed by young people teaches young people about making an impact in God's name wherever they go. The theme this year is "Punching Holes in the Darkness". The week includes worship, seminars, fun camp activities, missions projects in the surrounding communities, an outdoor concert, and much more.
Speakers include Regine Jean-Baptiste, Nyamah Duncan, Shane Claiborne, and Marcia Owen. The daily Bible study leader is Stephanie Hixon.

An Early Response Team (ERT) Training will be held Saturday, July 20, 2013 at Foley UMC from 10am to 4pm. Learn the essentials of natural disaster response and receive a badge to join future emergency teams.
The training will be led by Amelia Fletcher, Conference Disaster Response Coordinator.
Cost is $13, which includes t-shirt, badge, and manual. Bring a bag lunch.
