Expressions of Love Embrace Us All

(Andalusia Star) - "I"ve traveled this way many times, but it is different these days, I thought as my daughter turned in to the road that led us to Blue Lake Methodist Assembly last Tuesday. In September 2010, with my husband Claude, I drove to the Extreme Experience Camp for the Blind and Visually Impaired. It was his last visit to Blue Lake." A Word from Rev. Alex Palomaria, USAF Chaplain

Dear family members and friends:"Just a quick word to say you mean so much to me and my family."I was notified by my wing chaplain that the promotion list for major came out today. During the middle of PT my wing chaplain stopped our workout and congratulated me on the news. Very creative on his part I must say. I was humbled nevertheless."The promotion to major is based on leadership potential. I would add that if you received this e-mail you need to know that I am also blessed by your love and influence on my life."The average age of a chaplain coming on active duty in the USAF is 35. Now that I am in my 40's I must admit the past 9 years have gone by fast for our family."That being said, I want to publicly thank my wife Melinda and three daughters, Ashleigh, Madison and Reagan for their support in this unique calling. They are not here with me to celebrate the good news because I am on a one year remote assignment. I miss them deeply, but they are resilient and my pride and joy. As most of you know, Melinda is a third generation military spouse."Above all I want to thank Jesus for His unfailing love and The United Methodist Church for allowing me to be a servant leader.

In Christ's Love,
Alex Palomaria (Isaiah 40:31)
